V33i Vertical Machining Center Creates Miniature V33i Models at FineMolds

From classic muscle cars to today’s airplanes, people across the world assemble scale models of their dream machines. At this year’s Shizuoka Hobby Show 2009, model kit manufacturer FineMolds presented a unique model kit developed specifically for the machining enthusiast, a 1/20 scale model of Makino’s V33i vertical machining center. The model kits have been produced using actual Makino V33i machining centers and will be released this summer by FineMolds.

“Across North America, the V33i is providing manufacturers with high-precision, high-speed hardmilling in a variety of materials,” says Mark Rentschler, Makino marketing manager.

“Multiple V33i customers, including Feintool, covered in this issue of Competitive Mold Maker, have reported tremendous gains in accuracy and significant cycle time reductions. We see this scale model as a testament to the machine’s high-performance capabilities and a huge compliment to our company.”

The Makino V33i hardmilling vertical machining center was released in March of 2008 and designed as an update to the popular V33. The machine is equipped with Makino’s latest technological advancements and refinements, providing even greater sustained dynamic accuracy, superior surface finishes and long hours of continuous, unattended operation.
