If you walk around our Die Mold Tech Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, itll be very clear to you that Makino is dedicated to the die/mold industry. Since our inception in 1937, weve forged strong roots with thousands of die/mold shops, where your success has been our success.
Makinos passion for dies and molds has led to advances in areas such as high-speed machining with Super Geometric Intelligence (SGI.4®), HQSF® for the ultimate in EDM finishes and FF/Cam® complex shape programming, all designed to achieve bench-free surface finishes and accuracies. We believe that no other machine tool builder understands die/mold like Makino, and that no other builder has dedicated more resources to design new technology that increases your competitiveness. In addition, Makino listens to your changing market needs to develop the next generation of capabilities in new-growth areas that are in alignment with your core competencies such as micromachining molds, dies and unique parts for medical, aerospace, defense, and automotive markets.
Makino continues its investment in the die/mold market with our fifth bi-annual Die Mold Expo, to be held September 25-27, 2007 at our Auburn Hills, Michigan, Die Mold Tech Center. The Expo will feature new ways for tool and mold manufacturers to improve sales, diversify their customer base, and increase profitability with ideas provided by industry-leading speakers and machining demonstrations.
Business Day
The first day of the Expo will feature key industry leaders speaking about business improvement opportunities, including best-selling author Jeff Fox, Federal Reserve Senior Economist Thomas Klier who will discuss the changing auto industry of North America, IRNs Chief Economist Erich Merkel, IRNs VP Jud McKinley who will speak about his experience with customer diversification including the “new domestic” OEMs, and several other speakers. The first day will be held at the Marriott Conference Center just a few minutes from Makinos Die/Mold Tech Center.
These speakers will help moldmakers in the areas of business marketing, diversification, and financial stability. By learning about the future of the die/mold industry and making North Americas die/mold shops more competitive, we can all be more successful.
Demonstrations And Presentations
On the second and third days, weve organized a series of presentations on machining topics such as hardmilling, micromachining, 2+3 machining, metrology, lead-time reduction, and cutting to zero. We will present extensive machining demonstrations on 18 machines under power, including horizontal and vertical machining centers, Ram, and wire EDMs. There will also be 20 select leading industry suppliers exhibiting.
Of course, we will have our world-renowned applications engineers and product managers on hand to discuss your specific applications and Makinos technology in detail.
